Black Widow fans scored an early holiday treat with the highly anticipated ‘Black Widow’ first trailer released on Monday (Dec.2.) Despite her demise in Avengers: Endgame, the timetable for the film will fall between the years of “Captain America: Civil War” and “Captain America: Infinity War.” Scarlett Johansson will star as Black Widow.
Johansson portrays the character in seven Marvel films; Iron Man 2 (2010), The Avengers (2012), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame (both 2019).
Black Widow is a fictional superhero created by Marvel Comics creator, Stan Lee. The character was first introduced to the Marvel Universe as a Russian spy, an antagonist of the superhero Iron Man. She later defected to the United States, becoming an agent of the fictional spy agency S.H.I.E.L.D. and a member of the superhero team the Avengers.
The 30 second trailer reveals flashbacks from her past, family ties and introductions to new characters. Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour as Alexei aka The Red Guardian and Rachel Weisz as Melina.
