Zendaya and Tom Holland’s walk down the aisle may have to wait—because she’s heading back to the dunes of Arrakis.

According to a new report from Life & Style via Daily Mail, the Euphoria actress has hit pause on wedding plans with her longtime boyfriend Tom Holland, citing her demanding filming schedule for Dune: Messiah as the reason. The third installment in Denis Villeneuve’s mega sci-fi franchise is set to begin filming soon, and Zendaya’s role as Chani is reportedly keeping her fully booked.
A source close to the couple revealed that “Zendaya is under contract and can’t just walk away from filming.” Though the couple is still very much in love, the insider explained that they’ve postponed plans for now—but fans shouldn’t panic. “They still plan on getting married,” the source confirmed.
While Zendaya, 27, continues her reign as one of Hollywood’s most in-demand stars, Tom Holland is enjoying a break from the spotlight. The Spider-Man: No Way Home actor, 28, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that he was taking a step back after a taxing role in The Crowded Room, focusing on rest and recovery. Despite the shift in priorities, Tom is reportedly nothing but supportive of Zendaya’s cinematic commitments.
“Tom understands how important this role is to her,” the insider said, hinting that the British actor is happy to wait until the time is right. The couple, who first met filming Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, have maintained a famously low-key relationship, rarely speaking about their private life in public.
So will Zendaya swap her Fremen robes for a wedding gown anytime soon? While the Zendaya wedding delay may disappoint fans, it’s clear this Hollywood love story is far from over. It’s looking more like a 2026 affair but if Hollywood has taught us anything, it’s that the best love stories are worth the wait.
