Will Smith’s New Stand-Up Comedy Series Exclusively on Quibi - ‘This Joka’

Will Smith is Taking Over The Small Screen!

On Thursday (April 2) Will Smith announced the release date of a new comedy stand-up series titled, This Joka exclusively on the short-form video platform, Quibi. Smith will host and executive produce the 16-episode series.  In the series, Smith invites a mixed bag of up-and-coming, established, and iconic comedians to engage in one on one conversations and perform stand-up sets. They shoot the series on location in Las Vegas at Topgolf and other popular hot spots in the city. 

“Will’s love and respect for stand-up comedy runs deep, and with this series on Quili, we hope to discover, learn from and uplift the next generation of diverse comedic talent. The goal of This Joka isn’t just to laugh but to find the universal human truths behind the laughter,” said Terence Carter, co-president of Will’s production company, Westbrook Studios.

Featured comedians in the series include Baron Vaughn, Megan Gailey, Punkie Johnson, Sean Patton, Rosebud Baker, Shane Torres, Clayton English, Christi Chiello, Vanessa Gonzalez, Martin Urbano, Sam Tallent, David Gborie, Jackie Fabulous, Chris Estrades, Rell Battle and Daphnique Springs, with George Wallace, Demi Adejuyigbe and Shawn Wasabi will be making “special appearances.” ‘This Joka’ has been in development since October 2019 and co-produced by Westbrook Studios (Smiths own production company) and Topgolf Entertainment Group. Quibi is set to launch on April 6.
