The Vidiots Foundation is turning up the summer heat with its freshly announced Vidiots Foundation June 2025 programming — and it’s stacked with cult classics, indie favorites, and star-studded guest appearances that promise to make the Eagle Theatre in Northeast Los Angeles the destination for movie lovers this season.


Originally launched in 1985 as a radical video store in Santa Monica, Vidiots has evolved into a powerhouse nonprofit dedicated to film preservation, education, and community engagement. After reopening in 2023 at the restored Eagle Theatre, the foundation has become a magnet for cinephiles, creators, and culture seekers across L.A.


Kicking off June 6, Melanie Lynskey and Clea DuVall will host a special evening that’s sure to set the tone for a month of unforgettable cinema. On June 10, the hilarious The Overnight screens with a panel featuring Naomi Scott, Adam Scott, and Mark Duplass.

Sci-fi fans, mark your calendars for June 16 — Naked Lunch screens with a guest appearance by the iconic Peter Weller. On June 19, comedian Ify Nwadiwe joins for a throwback viewing of White Men Can’t Jump.


But one of the biggest nights of the month lands June 23:Vidiots is thrilled to welcome the brilliant Radha Blank for a special screening of her modern classic The Forty-Year-Old Version! Join the writer, director, and star for an intimate night of conversation and inspiration.


The month closes on a nostalgic high: The Lost Boys returns to the big screen June 28, joined by actor and filmmaker Alex Winter, making it a must-see for fans of ’80s vampire chic.

  • July 10 – The Devil and Daniel Johnston with director Jeff Feuerzeig

  • July 19 – Gremlins 2: The New Batch with legendary director Joe Dante
