Video: Axl Rose Honors Late Biz Markie With ‘Just a Friend’ Singalong at Guns N’ Roses Concert

Axl Rose opened thehit song “November Rain “singing a few lines of deceased rapper Biz Markie’s “Just A Friend” during a concert last night (Thursday, August 5) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The set included a few more songs dedicated to Markie born Marcel Theo Hall who died last month at 57 after reportedly being ill for months. The two met in 2006. His death was confirmed by the longtime manager, Jenni D. Izumi. There was no official cause of death, according to NPR.
GUNS N’ ROSES kicked off its summer “We’re F’N Back!” 2021 tour on July 31 making stops across the United States, including Detroit, Detroit, Dallas, Chicago and more.
