Tom Cruise is back with an action packed seventh installment of the popular Mission Impossible franchise. Paramount and Skydance Media released “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning – Part 1” teaser trailer on Monday morning.

Tom Cruise was pictured running across a steam train while filming for Mission: Impossible 7

In true Cruise fashion - the actor performed many of his own larger-than-life stunts for the film, including riding a dirt bike off a cliff into a ravine, then parachuting down to safety and running across a steam train.

Varitey reported MI7's massive budget at $290 million to produce. The release date was delayed four times and is currently set to premiere on July 14th.

The delay was due to production being shut down multiple times due to Covid-19 outbreaks. Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie tested positive in addition to many other cast members.

Audio leaks appeared in December 2020 of Cruise yelling expletives at the "Mission: Impossible 7" crew for not following proper COVID-19 safety protocols. Some members reportedly walked off set following the rant.

Returning cast in includes Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, and Vanessa Kirby. Hayley Atwell and Esai Morales join MI7 as newcomers.

“Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning – Part 1” will be in theaters on July 14, 2023.
