Actor Johnny Depp posted a short and sweet and silent film to his Instagram account, thanking his 6.7 million followers and fans for their continued support amid his nasty and controversial divorce from ex-wife Amber Heard.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star joined Insta on April 16 and racked up 1.9 million followers within just a few hours of joining. His first photo and video of himself in what appeared to be a candlelit cave with the caption “Isolation” referring to his latest song.
His latest appreciation post features the 57-year-old actor sitting in a home office desk. Depp is wearing a red, gold and green, knit rasta beanie, paired with black rimmed reading glasses and checkered black and green flannel. A bookshelf filled with a variety of books is a backdrop in the dimly lit office. Above the bookshelf is a collection of the actor's statues and toys.
The video then pans down to a blank piece of stationary on Depp’s desk where he begins to write a handwritten letter to fans with a calligraphy pen and ink. An instrumental version of the song “Beyond the Sea” plays in the video’s background.
Depp’s caption read:
“Hello All! I just wanted to thank you all once again for your constant and loyal support throughout many long and interesting episodes of my life… I am only here because of you — and I’m only here for you!!! All thanks and love to you for all, JD,” he wrote in the letter.
