JJ Abrams and Oscar Isaac at the 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' Press Conference In Tokyo

The cast of the forthcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker celebrated at the Asian press conference held at Toho Cinemas Roppongi on Thursday (December 12) in Tokyo, Japan.

In attendance were director JJ Abrams and cast members: Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Anthony Daniels (3CPO,) and R2-D2, BB-8 and D-O, and screenwriter Chris

Terrio.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is the third installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy also known as Star Wars: Episode IX. The film is co-written and produced by Abrams. The movie timeline takes place a year after the events of The Last Jedi, the remnants of the Resistance face the First Order once again while ancient conflict between the Jedi and the Sith reaches its ultimate faceoff, bringing the Skywalker saga to its conclusion.

The Rise of Skywalker international premiere takes place in Los Angeles on December 16, 2019, and debuts in theaters everywhere on December 20, 2019.
