Jay-Z raises $6 Million at Inaugural Shawn Carter Foundation Star Studded Gala

Jay-Z and wife Beyonce fundraised $6 million dollars with his star-studded Inaugural Shawn Carter Foundation Gala Weekend at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Jay-Z donated $500,000 of his own money on Friday night (Nov 15.)

There was a live performance by Alicia Keys.

Entertainers like Tyler Perry, Fat Joe, Meek Mill, Dj Khaled, Swizz Beatz, Fabolous, and more filled the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida for the event.

Beyoncé showed off 2 form fitting gala looks with her 135 million fans following her on Instagram.

The gala included a high-stakes poker tournament, with a $100,000 buy in to play, Marcelo Claure - CEO of SoftBank was crowned winner.

All proceeds from the weekend benefitted the Shawn Carter Foundation scholarship fund, college prep workshops and bus tours, study abroad opportunities, and community goodwill programs for youth and families in need.
