James Blake Covers “Never Dreamed You’d Leave In Summer” by Stevie Wonder on Instagram Live -Watch!

James Blake has been keeping fans entertained while self isolating at his home by performing live cover songs from his living room on Instagram Live.

The English singer and songwriter performed a solo piano rendition of “Never Dreamed You’d Leave In Summer” by Stevie Wonder at the request of a fan, Raphie Rafe during his latest quarantine home session.

“Never Dreamed You’d Leave In Summer” was originally on Wonder's 1971 album, Where I'm Coming From.

Other legendary artists Blake covered in past sessions include: Joy Division, Ray Charles, Radiohead, and Frank Ocean, just to name a few. In April he dropped his latest new love song, “You’re Too Precious,” the singer’s first new music since 2019’s Assume Form.

Blake revealed to Apple Music that he wrote the track as an ode to his girlfriend, The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil.
