August 27, 2020
On Thursday, Singer Katy Perry and boyfriend Orlando Bloom confirmed the birth of their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, with dual reposted Instagram announcements by UNICEF.
The British actor shared a black-and-white photo of him hand (with a painted daisy flower on her nail) in hand with Perry and their newborn Daisy’s hand hours after the birth.
The 43-year-old actor reposted the caption announcement non-profit, UNICEF, originally posted to Instagram. Both Perry and Bloom are ambassadors for the organization.
Their post caption read:
Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! We are honoured to introduce Goodwill Ambassadors @KatyPerry and @OrlandoBloom’s new bundle of joy.⠀
“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” Katy and Orlando told us.⠀
“But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. Since COVID-19 many more newborn lives are at risk because of the increased lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.⠀
“As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare. In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB’s arrival. By supporting them, you are supporting a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child. We hope your ♥️ can bloom with generosity.⠀

Many of couples very famous friends took to social media to congratulate with comments such as; Millie Bobby Brown, Keanu Reeves, Josh Brolin, Monique Lhuillier, Hillary Clinton, Erin Foster, Miranda Kerr, Helen Christinson, and more.
A donation page through UNICEF was set up in celebration of Daisy Bloom's arrival so fans could show support "a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child."
Bloom's ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, left a congratulatory comment saying "💖🙏🏻🌈 I’m so happy for you guys. Can’t wait to meet her 💖🙏🏻🌈," who shares their 9-year-old son, Flynn Bloom.
Earlier in the month Perry shared a bazaar video tour of the nurury she designed for Daisy as a part of her “Smile Sunday” livestream via Zoom. The nursery is all pink and looks like Stanley Kubrick designed it. Throughout the video she cries like a baby between descriptions of items in the room.
