Atari wants to be more than your favorite video game developer.
The innovative company is teaming up with the GSP Group and real-estate developer Truth North Series to create a series of Atari Hotels. The first of which will be built in downtown Phoenix, with construction beginning in mid-2020 with an expected opening date in 2021. Additional Atari Hotels are also planned for Las Vegas, Denver, Chicago, Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, and San Jose.

Even from the outside, the Atari Hotel looks futuristic. An elevated building wrapped with glowing red strips in the shape of the Atari logo. The design is sophisticated with a touch of late 90s nostalgia.
Inside the hotel, Atari promises upscale amenities along with virtual reality and augmented technology throughout. There will also be venues and high-tech studios available for esports events.
