A pilot for China Airlines told the Los Angeles International Airport control tower he saw a person flying in a jetpack outside the plane as it approached the airport.

The jetpack flyer was nowhere to be seen by the time the police craft arrived, according to radio communications. Wednesday’s report marks the second time pilots have spotted the mystery jetpack flyer in the LAX flight path, in the past 60 days. The FBI is also investigating the first sighting, which happened in late August.

Air traffic controllers received the report at 1:45 p.m. by the pilot of the China Airlines 006 Boeing craft who saw a bright object at 6,000 ft.

The air tower asked the pilot to repeat himself for confirmation. The pilot then replied, “We saw a flying object ... flight suit jetpack at 6,000” according to the LA Times.

The tower then scrambled to warn other commercial planes that there was a jetpack reported about 13 miles ahead.

Air traffic controllers spotted a law enforcement aircraft about seven miles away and asked for its assistance to check out the reported sighting.

This news follows the first sighting which took place on Aug. 29th. The control tower at LAX received reports about a jetpack around 6:45 p.m.

“Tower, American 1997. We just passed a guy in a jetpack,” an American Airlines pilot said.

Many pilots speculate that the sightings are actually some sort of drone device. Could Los Angeles have a real life Iron Man situation or is just a drone? Here are some Instagram accounts that make you hmmm...
